More Cambodia

Cambodia, Cambodia, you stole my heart.  I totally wouldn't mind living in Cambodia.  It would be a bit difficult but they even use American dollars.  American dollars come out of ATMs!
So, the second day Sarah and I visited a lotus farm and took a ride on the Tonle Sap Lake.
While riding on the lake, the children were going home for lunch from school and we got to see them manning their boats.  What an amazing opportunity to glimpse into a completely different kind of life.
Here are some lotus shots.

We got see some carabao and lots of cooking bugs for snacking..... nope, we didn't try any ;-)

Now for one of the highlights of this trip.  Tonle Sap Lake and the floating village:

Of course I will spot the dog in the floating village :-)

I had a lot more pictures of children but they were naked.  I wouldn't want my child's naked picture posted without permission.  So, they aren't included.  I hope you all enjoy a look into a completely different kind of life.  Don't worry, there is more Cambodia to come though all of it isn't as beautiful and pleasant.  2 posts from now I will delve into the Khmer Rouge.  It's a dark and nasty not so distant past.  I wasn't originally going to share, but I realized that as humans we have to learn from our past mistakes.  I will make a disclaimer at the beginning of the post.  So you will know not to read it if you are super sensitive to these kinds of things.
Stay tuned.  Until next time....
