Hanoi

Hanoi.....my least favorite place on this 31 day trip.  There were heat things about Hanoi, but those were the amazing people we met on the food tour and the food.  I had myself a nice panic attack in the middle of a market and turned into the hangry hangry hippo (this is the name we have given my hungry personality) on more than one occasion.  We ate a lot, drank even more, and rested a lot.  It was so hot here- I changed clothes to include my underthings 3 times a day.  We had many plans for things to see in Hanoi, but we didn't manage even half of them.  We didn't account for the number of local tourists (the line to see the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum was 5.5 city blocks long).
Without further ado here are the things we did do, starting with food, drinks, and friends.

Hoa Lo Prison:  This is the prison were Senator John McCain and others were POWs; however, before the prison was used for our POWs it was used to inter Vietnamese people by the French.  It was originally an art guild.

Phew, that concludes Vietnam.  Stay tuned for the more exciting Cambodia and Myanmar!
Until next time.....
