Our New England Life

Well, this southern girl is settling in quite nicely to New England life.  We have been here now for about 4 months.  We regularly explore the local area.  We visit Lexington regularly, have been to Concord, been to the north end of Boston twice, had a staycation in Boston, spent a weekend in Newport RI with friends, visited maple syrup farms and a vineyard in New Hampshire, found a vet, and even a dentist.  We have, get ready for it, even started watching NFL games.  Our neighbors are huge Green Bay Packers fans and have invited us over to watch the play off games.  We have figured out the metro system, found nice areas to run and walk the dogs, slipped on black ice, eaten at Mike's Pastries and shoveled snow on a couple of occasions.  We have visited with friends we were stationed in Germany with, spent a day with friends from Monterey in the city, had a weekend getaway with another set of friends from Monterey.  We survived the winter through doing all of those things!  We love it here.  We have a lot more plans coming up.  Tomorrow we are running in the 101st Lexington Lions Club Annual Run.  We have our first visitor week after next and can't wait for that!

Here are a few snow pictures
