Myanmar Part III

For the third part of our trip to Myanmar, we traveled up to Mandalay.  We stayed just below Mandalay Hill.  On Mandalay Hill is a pagoda/temple- some 1800+ steps climbing mostly straight up.  It was beautiful to look at during the night because it was all lit up.  We did indeed climb it one morning before sunrise as that is suppose to be the best time.  There was no sunrise the morning we climbed because the cloud cover was low (we visited during the rainy season).  We also traveled out of the city to visit some of the environs of Mandalay and we were glad we did.

This concludes my time traveling South East Asia.  B had a few trips after I left.  We have now started settling in to our new location just outside of Boston, MA.  Once the house is set up I will post pictures.  In the mean time, we are exploring the area and enjoying a real winter for the first time since 2012.  The dogs are loving playing in the snow and all the outdoor activities.  Pictures from D.C. and Savannah to come soon.  Until next time......
